The first true science fiction novel, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus, comes alive on stage — as does a morally questionable Swiss scientist’s reanimated monster. Years ahead of its time, the famed 1818 novel inspired countless film and stage adaptations, begging the question: How far are we willing to go for scientific discovery? Aquila Theatre adapted the timeless classic for a bold and thrilling performance, paying homage to the original writing. “There is little doubt that Aquila Theatre is one of the most inventive and daring theater companies in the country,” writes The Lincoln Journal Star.
