Diana Wortham Theatre

Will feature Pat Heuermann's directorial debut with the ALO. Ms. Heuermann, now an Asheville local, is a founding member of the Atlanta Opera and former president of the National Opera Association, with directing credits throughout the United States and Europe. We will also welcome back Dr. C. Michael Porter, former assistant music director for ALO, conducting an ensemble cast in a battle of Venus vs. Mars, as they explore the stereotypes in relationships within the delightful angst of finding true love. 

Synopsis

Also called The School for Lovers, this Italian opera is about the underlying dynamics of relationships. In a whirlwind of confusion, people are tricked, hurt, and forgiven. However in the end, everyone is content yet again.
