Celebrating five years as a treasured holiday celebration in Asheville and expanded to two performances to meet demand. Gather with family and friends at the theatre's annual Winter Solstice holiday concert, an entertaining evening of joyful and thoughtful seasonal reflection. With guitars, mandolins, fiddle, Appalachian dulcimer, piano, harp and world percussion, renowned recording artists Al Petteway, Amy White, and Robin Bullock share music from Celtic, American and world-influenced customs with inspiring depth and creativity. The evening includes host Doug Orr, storyteller Sheila Kay Adams, The Warren Wilson College Chorale, local Cape Breton stepdancers the "Twisty Cuffs" with Stephanie Johnston and guest fiddler Alex Reidinger, set against an atmospheric backdrop of Petteway's winter photography from National Geographic.
