Complexions Contemporary Ballet

Hailed as two of the most gorgeous virtuosos ever to emerge from Ailey Land (New York Magazine), founders Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson and their New York City company of dance thoroughbreds have awakened audiences to a new, exciting genre that combines the best of athleticism, lyricism, technical training and experience. Tom Mossbrucker, Artistic Director of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet who performed last season, advises Asheville audiences, “Complexions is one of my favorite companies . . . don’t miss them!”

Pre-performance discussions: Facilitated by representatives from the Asheville Ballet, the dancers will discuss and demonstrate the difference between contemporary and classical ballet. 7:00 p.m. in The Forum at Pack Place before each performance. Free for ticket holders.

Master Class: Saturday, March 6, 1:30pm at the Asheville Ballet Studios. $10 per person. Participants must be dancers 13 years of age and older, with a minimum intermediate-level experience. To register e-mail Claudia Polancich at claudiawwmccall@gmail.com.
