The Diana Wortham Theatre Young Audiences Series presents an award-winning adaptation by Edward Mast of Rudyard Kipling's beloved "The Jungle Book" stories.
Jungalbook, which takes its plot from the Mowgli centered stories and poems in both of Kipling’s "Jungle Books," won a Distinguished Play Award from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education in 1991. The Jungalbook stage adaptation shares some comic elements with the popular 1967 Walt Disney Film film, The Jungle Book, but overall is deeper in its message and context.
