FOOTLOOSE is based on the 1984 hit film that captured the hearts of America. One of the most explosive movie musicals ever, bursting onto the live stage with exhilarating results, a fun outing for the entire family.
Reinvented as a Broadway musical in 1998, it ran for more than two years with 709 performances and earned four Tony nominations. FOOTLOOSE went on to enjoy West End productions, British national tours, and a 10th anniversary American national tour. The soundtrack album reached number one on Billboard charts selling over 15 million copies.
A tremendously fun, high-energy musical with loads of youthful spirit, awesome choreography, acrobatics, and upbeat music. What truly drives the piece is the universal importance of building bridges and strengthening bonds between parents and kids.
Popular local band Orange Krush will provide the live soundtrack on stage.
