The Blue Ridge Orchestra presents its final concert of the 2010/2011 season with "An Evening with Billy Jonas," featuring a blend of the local star's eclectic music with a symphonic collaboration. Singer/songwriter/percussionist Billy Jonas, joined by his band and accompanied by the Blue Ridge Orchestra, featuring selections from his albums plus popular orchestral classics.
Impossible to categorize, Billy Jonas is known regionally and nationally for his highly engaging and energetic performances.
This concert is a continuation of the Blue Ridge Orchestra's fusion series with various performers, started in the 2005-2006 season, featuring a blending of different musical genres. The Blue Ridge Orchestra’s classical style accompanies the finest Bluegrass, Swing, Celtic and Progressive Pop artists from Bobby Hicks to Billy Jonas.
