Viver Brasil
Viver Brasil’s Feet on the Ground takes audiences for an inspiring cultural journey through Brazil, featuring a dazzling program of African orixás (deified ancestral saints), ceremonial celebrations, the martial arts/dance form of capoeira, and lively Carnaval. The award-winning troupe’s innovative stage presentation brilliantly explores Brazil's racial, social, and political history through exhilarating movement, stunning costumes, pulsating percussion, and voice. Rooted in the traditional and contemporary forms and techniques of Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, Viver Brasil embodies the beautiful and complex stories of the African sacred energies vital to Afro-Brazilian culture.
