Western North Carolina Jazz Society presents Gina Sicilia + Dave Gross Blues Band: Vocals, Guitar, Harp

2009 will mark the third year that a WNC Jazz Society performance has celebrated the blues, a powerful influence on jazz since its earliest days. In Gina Sicilia and Dave Gross, the Society will again present excellent musicians who will reflect the roots planted by blues masters and mistresses while adding unique contemporary stylings.
Youthful musical partners Gina and Dave have hit the ground running by launching impressive careers while still in their early twenties. Blues Wax magazine heralded Gina’s talent: “Her robust and earthy voice is dramatically different from any of her peers. Gina Sicilia has true star potential." Dave inspired blues guitar legend Hubert Sumlin: “Dave Gross can play, man. That boy can smoke!”
