Laugh out loud with the entertainer The New York Times describes as
“a comic observer of contemporary manners”. Christine’s talents center on her particular genius for making the ordinary in our lives so extraordinarily funny. In One Meat Ball she sings about the basics: men, women, life, love and food. Using food as theme and metaphor, Christine sings about those aspects of life which, like food itself, stimulate, obsess, tantalize, comfort and perhaps do us in. A full-service feast!
The humorous and poignant show is an ideal way to combine the performing arts and culinary flavors in Asheville, known locally and beyond as “ Foodtopia” for its abundance of local food, talented chefs, and diverse restaurants. For her Asheville appearance, Christine is premiering a new song and recipe that she believes is both timely and delicious. In describing her new “Barakolate Chip Cookies” she says: “Finally! A cookie that represents all Americans: Democrats, Republicans, Independents -- light ones, dark ones, beige ones, and of course, nuts.”
