The Forum at Diana Worth Theatre Needle Felting with Christina Serra
The Intersections Craft Club, presented in partnership with Handmade in America, meets monthly to create a work of art under the direction of a local artist.
Students will learn how to turn loose dyed wool roving into a finished
felted landscape piece to hang on their wall. The roving is purchased
from local vendors. The students are then shown how to lay the fibers into an
image on their foam pads. Then they will learn how to felt the image
using specially made barbed needles, creating a dense felt work of art.
The whole process is made by hand, and does not involve soap or water.
Class is especially geared for beginners.
$30 per person covers materials and class fee.
