The 81st annual edition of this beloved annual festival showcases the
best of the mountain region’s old-time and bluegrass musicians, dance
groups, cloggers, storytellers and ballad singers. Each evening's

About the theatre: At the center of Asheville's vibrant downtown arts scene is the city's finest theatre, the Diana Wortham Theatre, offering live performances of music, theatre and dance throughout the year by nationally touring artists (the Mainstage Series) as well as a wide array of performances by professional and avocational regional arts groups. The 2008/2009 Mainstage Series, its 10th Anniversary Season, runs through May 2009 and features more than 30 performances by nationally touring artists in music, theatre and dance, plus Theatre for Young Audiences performances for school children.
