An extravaganza of more than 20 pianists who appear in solo and two-piano performances! Selections feature 8 and even 12 hands simultaneously, including an amazing improv by four jazz pianists. This show is as much fun to watch as to hear! Enjoy music by classical giants J.S.Bach, Brahms, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, as well as Hoagy Carmichael, Kurt Weill and more.
The pianists are performing members of the Asheville Area Piano Forum, and they are raising money for kids who cannot afford the costs of private piano lessons.
Popular WCQS radio host Dick Kowal will emcee. Special appearances include high school senior Jocelyn Ridenour, the 2008 Advanced Winner in the Asheville Piano Competition, and Asheville Symphony flutist Young Joo, who performs with acclaimed pianist Hwa-Jin Kim.
