Award-winning recording artists Al Petteway, Amy White, and Robin Bullock lead the celebration of the season with music, dance, storytelling, poetry, and gorgeous photography, with help from special guests: Grammy award-winning musician David Holt, nationally acclaimed flatfoot dancers Phil Jamison and Ellie Grace, Highland bagpiper E.J. Jones, and host Doug Orr, president emeritus of Warren Wilson College and founder of The Swannanoa Gathering.

The 2015/2016 Mainstage Series presents a wide range of top touring artists in music, theater, dance, puppetry, juggling, and more. Talented vocalist and one of the stars of the critically acclaimed documentary 20 Feet from Stardom Lisa Fischer kicks off the new season September 18 at 8:00 p.m with an opening night reception, sponsored and catered by Pack’s Tavern at 7:00p.m.

About the theatre: In the heart of the Pack Square Cultural District is the city's finest theatre, the Diana Wortham Theatre: an intimate 500 seat theatre inside the Pack Place complex, with convenient off-street parking and numerous downtown restaurants within a block of the theatre. Diana Wortham Theatre offers live performances of music, theatre and dance throughout the year by nationally touring artists (the Mainstage Series) as well as a wide array of performances by professional and avocational regional arts groups.
